Soydivision presents “Tumpeng-Tindih”, a performance of rice preparation ritual, dance, and experimental music. Tumpeng is a cone-shaped rice dish that symbolizes gratitude and is performed when one wishes for harmony. Through a possessed body of a dancer, a shaman tries to decipher a spirit's message for the community, while the artisan prepares the rice offering.

Tumpeng is a cone-shaped rice dish that is part of a slametan ceremony. The ceremony symbolizes gratitude and is performed when one wishes for harmony in an environment or for a purpose. Building on this tradition, Soydivision will give a performance of rice preparation ritual, dance, and experimental music entitled "Tumpeng-Tindih", a wordplay of the word Tumpeng (cone-shaped rice dish) and tumpang-tindih (overlaying).

The cone shape symbolizes a volcano, which is both a source of disaster and fertility, from which diversity of life born and flourish. Through this performance, Soydivision not only asks for blessings from the surrounding neighborhood of the Ufer Studio, as a new part of the community but also giving a well-wishing prayer for harmonies within the neighborhood. Through the body of the dancer who is possessed by the spirit of the land, a shaman will try to decipher the spirit's message for the community; all these while the artisan prepares the rice offering for the land, the spirit, and all of the neighbors.
